Poetry & Thoughts

I was regretting the past

and fearing the future.

Suddenly my Lord was speaking:

I waited, He continued,

when you live in the past with its mistakes and regrets,

it is hard.  I am not there.

When you live in the future, with its problems and fears,

it is hard.  I am not there

When you live in this moment,

it is not hard.  I AM HERE.

No in between,

No compromise,

No undecided hearts.

I will not share you with another,

I am a jealous lover.

Come away with me this day.

Let us get intertwine in each other’s lives.

With constant communication,

Me speaking to you and you listening to Me, intently.

I want to hear from you; I love to listen to your voice calling on My name.

Jesus, Jesus, Jesus.

Though your thoughts are never a surprise to Me

Your ways are never hidden from Me

Only because I, The I AM, know you better than you know yourself.

I see you in your “secret place”

I am there when you are at your lowest.

But, nothing can separate you from My love.

Come away with Me today

Yes! It seems unbearable sometimes.

Yes! You have to persevere to the end

Yes! You can make it!  I GOD know you can do this!!

Get up! Get up, my child.

No you are not alone; I am with you.

you are weak but I am your strength.

I know what you need, remember I am your source.

Just follow my foot steps, I am your guide.

He is like a roaring lion, but I am your protector.

I will never give you more than you can bear.

Come away with ME, Today.

Lets go…

Ole Fren

Why does the bad times cover the good?

I can’t seem to remember the happy days

Where have the laughter gone?

All I see is darkness, hurt, scars and

A broken down shack of what our friendship used to be.

At last!  A tiny beacon of our happy past slipped through the crack the other day

Oh, what a joy it was to reminisce.

To remember my ole friend and actually smiled.

I almost wished it could be again ole friend

I would rather to never have known you, ole fren!

Than to take one more scar from you, my ole fren.

I would rather you stay away

Than to live in turmoil with my ole friend.

I have and shall miss you, ole friend

But, I think it is for the best.

Farewell ole friend, until we meet at the pearly gates.

You were loved ole friend.

True Friends

True friends are better than a million bucks

True friends correct you in love,

like it or not

True friends accept you with all your flaws,

yet inspires you to be a better person

True friends stand by you even though they know you are being ridiculous

True friends believe in you and encourage you,

to reach for the stars.

True friends pray for you more than you pray for yourself.

True friends hurt when you hurt and rejoice when you rejoice.

True friends stick with you even when you believe that you don’t need them

True friends know when to just listen.

True friends know when to let you have your space.

True friends forgive you for being a jerk.

True friends always welcome you with open arms.

True friends build you up when you feel lower than dirt.

True friends acknowledge their wrongs and seek forgiveness.

True friends never give up on you, even when you have given up on yourself.

Who is your TRUE FRIEND?

Real Love

Love, beyond what I have ever imagined is what I receive every day.

No man, friend or parent could give such love.

This Love is so filling and overwhelming.

Overwhelming in the most welcoming way!

This Love is searching the earth, for whoever will accept Him.

Scared of being turned away? Crush that thought.

This love knows not the word “rejection”.

This love looked beyond my faults and downfalls; He saw me, a dying and lonely soul.

Love then: washed me, fed me, healed my wounds, took my burdens and welcomed me into His family.

Just as I was.

Christ Jesus is this love. 🙂

I have fallen in love with truth
I only want to be with her
I can not stand to be apart
I would gladly go to the ends of the earth
or I would never again move from this spot
just to be sure to inhale her fragrant perfume
with my dying breath

I have fallen in love with truth
her every wish my command
I simply must obey
for she has captured my soul
and taken complete control
of even my innermost thoughts
freeing me to find repose
in her unadorned splendor

I have fallen in love with truth
with exquisite tenderness she shows me
the perfection in my every flaw
no need for pretense
for she knows everything about me
and yet takes me in her arms
with complete abandon
until only she remains

    • I was planning on writing a really intense piece on valentine but I changed my mind. All I will say is this. Valentine represents: lust, premarital sex, unwanted pregnancies, abortions, infatuations which all equals to sin.

It is exciting to receive gifts at your work place or a surprise dinner but is really about love? A lot of us do not understand what loving someone is all about and a lot of the persons that do have an idea of what it means have become too selfish to truly show it.

This is love according to the only one that has truly expressed how much He loves us, Jesus Christ. 1 Corinthians 13 : 4-8 says ‘Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails…..

So unless this is what valentines day represent then I no longer celebrate it or do I want to have anything to do with this day.

God truly loves you. So give Him a gift by spending this day and the rest our your lives adoring Him with living to please Him.

      I’m out. 🙂
